I am currently enrolled as a freshman at Oklahoma Baptist University and am involved in service projects, school events, and the Women's Club Volleyball team. I have have decided to major in Family Science with a minor in Spanish in hopes of pursuing a career in social work alongside abuse victims.
Global Leadership Summit is an annual, two-day leadership training experience with leaders from around the world. I have had the opportunity to attend for the past three years. Key topics include entrepreneurship, generational diversity, and work efficiency.
I worked as an intern for the HUB Community Center, an upcoming nonprofit being launched out of The Met Church. I ran errands, attended business meetings, networked with other nonprofits, and documented progress and direction of their various programs.
This team of selected high school students provides input, leadership, and
service for the student ministry at The Met Church. Some opportunities include packing teacher appreciation bags for the local middle school teachers, serving at concession stands for local events, and helping new students get involved in the church's student ministry.
I helped facilitate sports camps around northwest Houston at local churches.
Warrior Leadership Academy is an investment in student leaders. It pairs with a national organization called Student Leadership University that involves trips to San Antonio, Washington D.C., Normandy and Paris, as well as Israel. This program inspires students to stand out apart from culture and to be leaders that stand up for their beliefs, know how to grow a healthy environment, and develop relational connection with those they are leading.
