Rent Party has helped fight hunger in Maplewood/South Orange since 2009. We support three local food pantries. We built and maintain a large garden that raises fresh produce for hunger-fighting initiatives in our community. Our BackPack Pals program provides a weekend’s worth of nutritious food for
about 100 food-insecure kids in our schools.
● Developed a highly recognizable local brand, utilizing social media
(4,000 followers), email campaigns (Constant Contact), traditional
marketing, and public relations.
● Created and manage the organization’s website
● Collaborate with township government and business leaders to
support Rent Party’s technical and logistical infrastructure
● Partner with civic organizations, businesses, municipal entities, and
local schools to address food insecurity and organize events to further
this mission
● Recruit, engage, and energize a diverse group of volunteers for events and outreach programs

grant applications
