After serving on the board of directors for 2 years, I took over as President of Helmet Heads Colorado, a non-profit in Denver, Colorado that provides free helmets and helmet education on to low income elementary school students. My responsibilities including strategic planning, maintaining financial and compliance documentation, ordering and distributing our product, finding volunteers, recruiting board members, and grant writing.

Hobbies

I love to read fantasy and science fiction. My favorite author is Tolkien and I am a card carrying member of the Tolkien Society. Other authors I enjoy are Lewis, Feist, Martin, Rothfuss, and Sanderson. I enjoy cooking and baking with my wife. I am an avid tabletop gamer, involved in multiple dungeons and dragons campaigns, currently playing a College of Swords Bard in a campaign with several other physicians in Omaha, and preparing to start a campaign for my fellow co-residents at UNMC.
