T-Mobile’s Legal and Emergency Response team responds to legal demands that are served upon the company for customer information that is labeled Sensitive Information as defined by the T-Mobile National Security Agreement (NSA) and is highly confidential. The primary role of this contract position is to analyze documents submitted by law enforcement, private attorneys and pro se litigants (including court orders, search warrants, subpoenas, and preservation letters) and implementing standard practices and policies to ensure proper intake and handling of documents.

  • I arbitrate and mediate situations on behalf of our esteemed company and our beloved merchants
  • I am tasked with helping the Legal department with resolving various legal proceedings like: UCC Liens from 3rd party debt collectors, levies from IRS and other state tax agencies along with bankruptcies and subpoenas from different municipalities
  • I handle direct disputes with merchants; and/or any letters from their attorneys seeking court action; and/or any investigative inquiries from their respective Attorney General’s office
  • I schedule and conduct conference calls with merchants and/or their attorneys in hopes of a settlement agreement that brings itself to an amicable end
  • I safeguard the company’s public reputation by reviewing and getting rid of any erroneous BBB and online complaints
  • I work with the Collections department in deescalating merchant’s objections to paying past due balances, obtaining 1099 and other tax forms as needed
  • I also work with the Risk department in providing checks for various payments, writing off charges and fees on accounts and giving refunds on case specific transactions
  • I assist in audits performed by the company at large by doing extensive background preparation and with special legal projects as deemed necessary by ensuring attrition payments and fact finding legal cases
  • I am entrusted to give feedback towards company’s focus groups, offer any constructive criticism with a monthly case study on internal issues to bring about improvement and a monthly assessment of new events and announcements
  • By using legal expertise, grace and research I protect the company’s bottom line.
