Summary

I am a passionate and dedicated educator who has been in the field of education since 2007. I am dually certified in elementary education and special education (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, specifically focusing on literacy education. Providing quality literacy instruction to young students is a great passion of mine.

I have served as a special education teacher for students in grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th by providing instruction in ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. I specialize in working with students who have autism, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD and specific learning disabilities.

In addition to my classroom instruction, I have also assisted my school with providing workshops to surrounding districts that focus on implementing a behavior modification system that utilizes a common language, a point system, counseling strategies and differentiated instruction for self-contained classrooms.
