As Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Director my mayor role is ensuring the well-being of employees, the environment, and compliance with safety and health regulations within Skanska USA Building, Inc
Regulatory Compliance: Oversees organizational compliance with local, state, and federal environment, health, and safety regulations
Ensure that the Project Teams adhere to all relevant laws and standards
Policy and Procedure Management: Ensure the implementation of our ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EH&S policy, and procedure are followed and always updated
These include and are not limited to project EH&S manuals guide employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and environmental protection measures
Risk Mitigation: Identifies and assesses risks related to health, safety, and environmental factors
Develop strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents or incidents
Project Oversight: Ensure that projects (such as construction, renovations, or facility upgrades) are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to safety guidelines
Training and Education: Provide training programs for employees, educating them on safety protocols, hazard identification, and emergency response
Environmental Stewardship: Monitors the organization’s environmental impact
Implement corporate initiatives and measures to reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote sustainability
Collaboration: Works closely with other departments, such as operations, communication, and human resources, to ensure consistent safety practices and compliance throughout the organization
Project support: City of Clearwater, Imagine Clearwater Park, Clearwater, FL $ 63 million dollar Imagine Clearwater Project is the redevelopment and expansion of existing Coachman Park and the renovation The project included new parking lots, landscaping and irrigation, large green space areas, boardwalks, playgrounds, interactive and non-interactive fountains, shade structures, public restroom facilities, a new dock-master building for the adjacent marina, as well as a new band-shell event building including lawn amphitheater seating and a 60,000sf canopy covered area that has a 4,000 seat capacity

The project will be an active, multimodal connected and coordinated sequence of facilities and venues designed for a high activity public space, but will also include respite green space and shade, low impact design practices, alternative energy sources, and will be sustainable and resilient

Petersburg Pier, St Petersburg, FL $50 million new pier district that will provide interactive experiences along its 3,065-foot length
Visitors can choose their experience throughout the area, and its exploration and activity areas provide a multitude of flexible programs and experiences for both tourists and the local community – from children to seniors, nature lovers to boaters, fishermen to fine diners

Jabil Inc., Corporate Headquarters, St
Petersburg, FL $53 million 260,000-SF of office, lab, customer engagement space, support services and amenities will make up Jabil's new state of the art global headquarters
The project also includes 1,600 surface parking spaces combined and blended with environmentally conscious landscaping, lighting and adequate security

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Research and Education Building, St
Petersburg, FL $100 million, 230,000-SF space to unite the four institutes of treatment, education, research, and advocacy in one facility
This included labs for bench and translational research, facilities for a pediatric biorepository and a biomarker discovery center
We also built a 400-person auditorium, imaging and examination areas, 50,000-SF of office spaces, collaborative areas and enclosed air bridge

Lee Health, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Ft
Myers, FL $144 million, 293,000-SF hospital that met a critical community need for increased pediatric treatment capacity
The project included a new eight-story, Category 5 hurricane-resilient patient tower and pavilion with a large ER, 160 patient beds, imaging rooms and more
Renovations were made to 74,055-SF of the existing facility, and site access roads and underground utilities were reconfigured
We also saved the client $30 million through value engineering during the design phase

Pegasus Park Development Phase I - Gulfstream Racing & Casino Park, Hallandale Beach, FL $22 million, 10,920-SF dome building on a four-acre site that serves as the base for a 110-foot-tall bronze statue of a winged horse fighting with a fire-breathing dragon that includes over 70,000-SF of rock theming and a water feature with choreographed lighting, sound, and fountains

Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science, Miami, FL, $101 million, 250,000 SF, state-of-the-art, multi-use science and technology museum, planetarium, and aquarium.
The world-class, five-story facility includes office space, ticketing, concessions, a restaurant, and amenities, a 220-space below-grade parking garage, and the fit-out of 3,500 SF of tenant space.
Construction of all underground utilities and the main road is also included.
