Summary

I am actively involved in STEM leadership and mentorship through robotics and amateur radio. I serve as the Lead Designer and Wiring Lead for my high school’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, where I help design, build, and troubleshoot competition robots. I am also the President of my school’s Amateur Radio Club, organizing activities and promoting technical learning and communication skills. In addition, I mentor a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team, guiding younger students in robotics, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving during competition preparation.

Certification

I have my Technician Class Amateur Radio License, I am currently working toward my General Class license, and I have earned the PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification.

Interests

I am interested in robotics, electronics, programming, and amateur radio I enjoy building hands-on projects, especially things involving circuits, LEDs, microcontrollers, and robots I am also involved in FRC robotics, where I work on electrical design and help solve problems on the robot Outside of robotics, I started my school’s amateur radio club and enjoy learning about antennas, radio communication, and engineering I like projects that let me be creative while also learning technical skills

The FIRST Leadership Award

I was nominated for the FIRST Indiana Leadership Award because of my work as a student leader on Penn Robotics Team 135. On the team, I serve as a leader in electrical design, where I help wire the robot, teach newer students, solve problems, and make sure our systems are reliable for competition. I also try to lead by helping others, whether that means mentoring younger students, supporting teammates, or helping other teams when they need it. FIRST has helped me grow as a leader because it taught me how to communicate, stay calm under pressure, and use engineering to make an impact.
