Additional Information

I have an established art portfolio that is available upon request. It includes my photography, ceramics, graphic design, typography and sketching from advanced classes at Jacksonville State University. I received a "Best In Show" Award in 1999. One piece of artwork from that show stood out. Diana Cadwallader, The Professor of Art and my teacher at JSU suggested publication of this one piece of graphic art I designed.

I have been mentored by another famous artist, John Solomon Sandridge. To receive an inventation of mentorship with John Sandridge, John held a local art contest in the Gadsden Times. I competed and won the mentorship. I received his mentorship for two weekly 2 hour lessons for a total of 8 months. I am truly blessed to have had 64 hours of instruction from Mr Sandridge. He mentored me hand to hand how to use pastels on canvas to create his style of famous Southern Folk Art. John has been contracted with Coca Cola and numerous other venues. I have two portraits with his design and signature included in my portfolio. Additionally, I have completed 12 hours of advanced Art History from JSU. The courses covered Pre-Historic to Modern Art. The Graphic Art I created from JSU was a blend of Medieval art mixed with Modern. My artwork is dedicated to my late mother Sherry Neal Silvey.
