Floor and Décor recruited me to assist in the opening of a new store because of my product expertise. Playing a key role in establishing new business relationships, I was responsible for finding new business and giving tours of our store to new clients.

  • I exclusively oversaw VIP client accounts and provided specialized quotes to fulfill their project needs.
  • I spent time educating clients on our rewards program, coordinating product trainings with vendors, and completing client follow-ups accordingly.
  • I designed promotional flyers, as well as planned store marketing events.
  • I conducted cross-department training, and I started training new employees shortly after.

I advanced to the operations team, where I became the warehouse supervisor.

  • I am responsible for making schedules, ensuring the completion of customer orders, coordinating staff to load and unload truck deliveries, and receive truckloads by auditing inventory and filing shipment information.
  • My role includes overseeing the completion of daily and monthly audits of customer orders.
  • I coordinate with corporate, vendors, and other stores to ensure the fulfillment of customer orders as needed.
  • I plan and delegate moving pallets throughout our store, with the use of forklifts.
  • I am also a lift equipment trainer, where I teach company safety guidelines and train staff on the proper usage of heavy lift equipment.

  • Daily duties and challenges included providing account balances and autopay information, explaining the itemization of bills, moving services from one residence to another, upgrading DVR systems, and creating work orders to replace Dish systems for people impacted by natural disasters.

  • As a third-party benefits administrator, we often took calls from employees of our clients in regards to various benefits packages, including HRA, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and Commuter Benefit Accounts.
  • My daily responsibilities consisted of giving account balances, collecting/updating personal information, and explaining the parameters of participant plans.
  • I interpreted IRS regulations to the participants of these plans, advising them why a claim was denied, when claims were received, processed, the approval status, and when claims were expected to be paid.
  • I responded to the email queue, which contained questions and requests from plan participants, and answered calls.
  • I documented all customer contacts, describing what was discussed in the call or email, took responsibility for updating participants' accounts, and followed up with participants on claim inquiries.
  • I trained new employees on job duties and computer programs needed to complete our jobs.
  • I conducted investigations of insurance accounts to find out if the accounts were active and what was needed to reactivate them.
  • I pulled tax information from previous years for participants, and sent personal account information and tax documents to participants.

  • My primary duties here included analyzing areas for potential business, and planning how our teams would spend the afternoon door-to-door canvassing.

  • I also worked in the office to follow up with clients who had potential remodels in mind.
  • I would document these calls and set up appointments for a sales representative to come out and complete a quote.
  • Additionally, I took part in planning promotional events by choosing which shows to be a part of, transporting displays, setting up and breaking down booths for events, and advertising home remodel services.
