  • Each day I am presented with orders to fill. In order to be successful with this task, I use my training and work experience to evaluate the order and fill the requirement according to the deadline given.
  • During Ward Reviews, I independently gather, evaluate, and analyze data given in order to determine the appropriate course of action according to policy and procedures.
  • I have worked in a pharmacy setting for more than twenty years. I am versed in the operation and care of specialized pharmaceutical equipment. In my current position I use my initiative and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the equipment required for my daily performance.
  • During my fourteen years-experience in compounding hazardous sterile parenteral products I consistently stay abreast of regulatory standards, VHA regulations, medical center policies, clinical protocols as well as the departmental standard operating policies and procedures. I have participated in training others on these procedures.
  • Due to the nature of compounding sterile and non-sterile drugs I exhibit knowledge of the controlled substance policies and procedures and I have the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies in policy and procedures.
  • I have experience in inventory control as well as procurement and formulary process of compounding hazardous sterile and non-hazardous sterile products.
