Supervises and evaluates the operations of wastewater treatment plants;

• Reviews and reports wastewater monitoring reports required by the State;
• Ensures effective preventive maintenance and repair of sewer systems;

• Assists in long-term planning;
• Plans, organizes, assigns, directs and evaluates the work of wastewater treatment plant operators;
• Mentors staff and provides training programs;
• Assists in establishing safety goals, and methods for measuring the effectiveness of safety programs;
• Prepares for and facilitate, departmental safety meetings;
• Conducts safety training modules on various topics including; driving, OSHA required forklift operation, lifting, operating hand tools, fire safety, hazardous materials, and other topics as necessary;
• Develops and maintains customer-oriented operations.
