• Proactively patrolled and protected Vallejo's most challenging neighborhoods while focusing on narcotics/gun-related apprehensions.
• Worked with the District Attorney's Office in order to author better police reports, conduct more thorough investigations, and obtain a better chance of prosecution.
• Applied for and was selected to become a member of the Vallejo Police Department SWAT Team.

-Obtain significantly more training which was shared

with squad mates to improve officer safety.

-Completed FBI Basic SWAT Course.

-Completed Tactical Breacher Course.

-Completed Chemical Agent/Less Lethal Course.

-After several years, selected to become an assistant

team leader and assisted the team leader with

running SWAT Operations as safely as possibly.

-Completed Hostage Rescue Level 1 Course.

-Eventually selected to become a team leader.

-Planed and coordinated operations to apprehend

dangerous wanted subjects or utilize SWAT

resources to bring certain dangerous calls to a

conclusion as safe as possible.

-In charge of incorporating Vallejo Police

Department's Tech Team, Tactical Dispatch, and

other involved law enforcement agencies into our

SWAT Team's Operations which sometimes entailed

overseeing 25+ individuals.

-Trained in surveillance, rolling surveillance (vehicle

and foot), and identifying/responding to counter

surveillance.

• Selected to assist with teaching patrol procedures to new officers. This included tactically and safely doing the following:

house clearing, building clearing, room entry, "routine"

traffic stops, high-risk traffic stop detaining/handcuffing

inside and outside of vehicles, foot pursuits, setting up

perimeters, tactical communication, and overall officer

safety.

• Assisted Vallejo Police Department Investigations Section in order to gain experience.

- Assisted with investigations including financial

crimes, robberies, assaults with deadly weapons,

gun related crimes, and murders.

• Applied for and selected to become a firearms instructor.

-Assigned to teach new recruits firearms fundamentals

as well as run classes for advanced officer training to

keep Vallejo Officers safe and proficient with firearms.

This included keeping officers informed on new case

law that pertained to firearms and use of force.

-Tasked with running and maintaining the Vallejo

Police Department's Patrol Rifle Program.

• Applied for and selected to become a Field Training Officer.

-Pass on training and experience to new officers.

-Mentor trainees while they are in the FTO Program as

well as when they complete the FTO Program and

become a solo patrol officer.

• Completed BATI 40 Hour Interview and Interrogation School.

• Completed 16 week FTO Program.
• Patrolled and protected Oakland's most challenging neighborhoods.
• Applied for and selected to be one of the department's fifty rifle officers.

-Obtained extra training and tasked with responding to

and assisting with running armed and dangerous calls

throughout the city.

• Applied for and selected to join Crime Reduction Team 3.

-Targeted low to mid level narcotics dealers as well as

wanted armed/dangerous subjects.
