Patrol Officer for the Borough of South River as part of the Patrol Division to maintain law and order, presently working night shifts.

Acting shift supervisor or "lead man" when required and asked.

Respond to calls including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, domestic disputes, civil disputes, and medical emergencies.

Investigate burglaries, assaults, and other crimes against persons and their property. Utilize interviewing skills with victims, suspects, and use surveillance devices to aid in the investigative process.

Communicate with court officials, the Department of Child Protection and Permanency, and Adult Protective Services as well as other law enforcement agencies in discussing the filing of charges, sentencing, and placement of children and adults in various situations.

Participate in enhanced patrols of high risk areas to act as a deterrent for car burglaries and catalytic converter thefts.

Participate in enhanced patrols borough wide in the prevention of various motor vehicle violations.

Police Bicycle Patrol certified officer - participate in bicycle patrols on the thoroughfares of town for enhanced police presence as well as parking issues and community response. Enhanced presence during high peak times such as holiday events and school zones.

• Was responsible for the safety and well-being of hospital staff, patients and visitors.
• Duties include but are not limited to rounds throughout the hospital with special emphasis on the emergency room, dealing with combative patients including psychiatric patients, interacting and assisting visitors to assure a pleasant experience while they are at the hospital, transporting staff and patients throughout the complex (day shift), and escorting hospital staff when necessary (night shift).
