Summary

My present goal is to find long term employment that is challenging in a stable and safe work environment.

I have worked in an acute healthcare setting for 21 years, 15 years as a Registered Nurse, 13 years as a Cath Lab RN. I come with extensive experience in monitoring and performing procedural sedation as well as experience with sterile procedures and product management. I have knowledge and experience with specialized surgical equipment including Tandem Heart and Impella ventricular assist, IABP, ECMO, EKOS and Penumbra. And I have experience performing pre and post op patient care in addition to experience managing surgical staff during procedures under the direction of the surgical physician. I have had the fortune of working in a relatively small yet diverse community my whole career. The people who seek help with their medical problems in the ER or Cath Lab are the same people I interact with in the community outside of work. This dynamic fostered an empathetic approach to my nursing from the very beginning. As such, patient advocacy and the observance of patient rights are very important to me. The near decade I spent working in the Emergency Room as an EMT and RN gifted me a 'high index of suspicion' to accompany the critical thinking skills I learned in nursing school and in practice. I consider this quality to be my strongest and useful asset. I just love being a nurse.
