Dawson Flanery

I am writing to express my interest in the Firefighter position with Westfeild Fire Department as advertised. As a 21-year-old with a passion for public service, community safety, and a strong desire to contribute to a team dedicated to making a difference, I believe my commitment, physical fitness, and quick decision making skills for emergency response make me an ideal candidate for this role.

I am confident in my ability to handle the demanding nature of the role, adapt quickly to new situations, and stay calm in high-stress environments. Working as part of a team is one of my strongest attributes. I believe in the importance of clear communication, mutual support, and a strong sense of duty in ensuring the safety of both the public and my team members. I am eager to contribute to Westfeild Fire Department mission and uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.

Ever since I was a little kid I always dreamed of being a firemen. Some of my best friends fathers are firemen or either chiefs and they have opened up my eyes a lot in this career and have helped so much. I believe my team working skills are a lot more advanced then others because I was captain for my soccer and baseball varsity team my Freshmen year of high school.

I have earned my Firefighter 1&2, Hazmat, and I get to take my NREMT this January. I went to Central 9 for my fire certifications and went to Bargersville fire department to potentially earn my EMT certification.
