An outgoing and outstanding social work student currently recognized on the dean's list with a 3.7 GPA. My unique perspective and hard-working results-oriented nature makes me gifted at understanding and serving all people equally. My primary drive in life and in work is to create social equity for minorities and disadvantaged groups.
My advocacy for the disabled community has effectively improved several restaurants, festivals, an amusement park, and some public biases. As a disabled person myself, it is my deepest passion in life to create a world that's welcoming and inclusive to all individuals. I believe everyone deserves the time and space to build connections and be involved with community.
Disabled people are not a small minority. In fact, it is one of the largest minority groups and one that anyone can become part of at any time. Most people will experience temporary or permanent disability in their lifetimes. Community access is essential for mental health. It is my personal mission to improve standards of treatment and access for disabled people. I work hard in school and maintain my high gpa in my social work program because of my deep motivation and passion. I am honored to have made the changes I have so far and deeply appreciate any opportunities to continue that work.
