Course experience: SJVC's Human Resource Administration training to develop the personal, professional, and human relations skills needed to perform the duties of a human resource administrator. Maintain current knowledge of EEO and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Using human resources management system software, prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
