Dr. Divyen Patel Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Genome Explorations has established a distinguished career at the forefront of cancer research and genomic innovation. Since founding Genome Explorations in 2001 he has driven the growth of a research program that has produced more than one hundred eighty peer reviewed publications resulting in the development of novel diagnostics with promising therapeutic potential.

Genome Explorations emerged in the early years following the sequencing of the human genome and became the first genomic company to deliver research services to institutions around the world. Originally developed at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital the organization has applied foundational cancer profiling tools to support the creation of precision treatments tailored to individual patients. Today the company continues to operate within the national distribution landscape serving partners and collaborators throughout the United States.

Dr. Patel is a recognized authority in cancer research and biotechnology innovation and he maintains active engagement across the scientific community. Colleagues frequently seek his expertise on diagnostic evaluations treatment plan development and complex case review. His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Liverpool John Moores University conferred in 1987 and a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical medicine and molecular biology from the University of Leeds awarded in 1992. With four decades of industry experience Dr. Patel has contributed significantly to research quality standards and global scientific progress.

Throughout his career Dr. Patel has been recognized by local national and international organizations including awards honoring him as Businessman of the Year and Innovative Contributor of the Year. Outside of his scientific work Dr. Patel enjoys composing music performing with his band and cooking. His family has also achieved success in technology with his younger brothers contributing to well known companies including Oracle Corporation and Motorola Solutions.
