Volunteer

As a dedicated volunteer, I have had the privilege of working with several organizations in the fishing community, including Patriot Anglers, North Texas Women Fishing, Fly Fishers International, and my own non-profit organization, Casting for Clarity.

With Patriot Anglers, I have had the opportunity to support and mentor veterans through fly-fishing outings and events. I have witnessed firsthand the healing power of nature and the camaraderie that comes from shared experiences on the water. It has been a rewarding experience to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

North Texas Women Fishing has allowed me to empower and educate women in the sport of fly-fishing. I have organized workshops and events to teach fly-fishing and fly tying techniques, conservation practices, and the importance of environmental stewardship. It has been inspiring to see women of all ages and backgrounds come together to learn and connect through fishing.

As a member of Fly Fishers International, I have participated in conservation efforts to protect our waterways and promote sustainable fishing practices. I have volunteered at river clean-ups, habitat restoration projects, and educational programs to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our natural resources for future generations.

In addition to my work with these organizations, I founded Casting for Clarity, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic fly-fishing experiences for women and young girls of domestic violence/sex trafficking, foster girls, and trouble youth girls all individuals facing mental health challenges. Through partnerships with mental health organizations and treatment facilities, we offer fly-fishing retreats and workshops as a form of therapy and relaxation. It has been incredibly fulfilling to see the positive impact that fishing can have on mental well-being.
