• Handling all aspects of claims from initial report, thorough coverage investigation; verify loss details, initial contacts, recorded statements if needed, assignment of independent experts as warranted.
• Monitor and update reserves as necessary through the life of the claim.
• Assign SIU as warranted.
• Obtain and review field reports, estimates, photos, and supporting documentation.
• Determine claim coverage available for the cause of loss and damages sustained.
• Verify damages observed are in line with the date of loss reported, no overlap for any prior claims.
• Obtain and review the Bylaws, Declarations, CC & R's for claims involving condo associations.
• Draft necessary letters such as Reservation of Rights, partial Denial, full Denial with all appropriate policy and statutory language and within the requirements set forth in the Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act.
• Determine if any subrogation potential, submit demands for same as appropriate. Follow up for the recovery of same.
• Maintain accurate diary system.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers at all levels.
• Work closely and build professional relationships with agents, Underwriters', experts, independent experts, field staff and public adjusters.
• Assist with new hire training. Serve as a resource for the other members of the team when there are questions, additional help needed, serve as backup for the Team Lead.

• Handled all requirements of an Inside Examiner as well as completed Initial Inspections and prepared damage estimates utilizing MSB estimating software.
