Capital Improvements/Planning

• Oversee capital improvement initiatives across all 32 AFR buildings to enhance operational efficiency in collaboration with GSD, DMD, and other CABQ divisions.
• Manage financial resources, including GO bond funds, operating funds, and state capital outlay request funds, to effectively deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Orchestrated funding initiatives resulting in $2.36 million in state capital outlay requests aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting multi-million dollar bond programs.
• Coordinated efforts with Energy and Sustainability division on solar panel expansion projects, advancing long term cost savings at key facilities-Fire Academy and 911/Communications Center
• Support planning, design, and construction of new Fire Stations and major facility upgrades including Station 23, 12, and 4, along with expansions and renovations across multiple AFR facilities.
• Directed civilian workforce in the execution of CIP projects to enhance operational efficiency across AFR facilities.

911/Alarm Room

• Achieved efficiency in Alarm Room operations by managing 35+ personnel, resulting in effective support for 125,000–200,000 annual calls.
• Integration of ALS Engine deployment within CAD workflows, improving resource utilization and patient care delivery
• Directing strategic initiatives for the modernization of AFR's computer-aided dispatch system, focusing on effective planning for potential APD separation and sustained readiness on the Motorola P1 platform with procurement from State 911 funding.

Technical Services

• Manage 6 personnel in Tech Division that oversee hardware and software within daily operations of AFR
• Led procurement and deployment of Mobile Data Terminals across all frontline apparatus, with coordination from CABQ DTI, Dell and Verizon
• Initiated a full audit with Verizon to find lines of service not being used that saved AFR money, as well as improved network optimization throughout the city.
• Assumed leadership of the AFR Drone Program, coordinating initial integration with APD RTCC and advancing procurement and deployment of AFR Drones

• Facilitated development of ladder operations working group and executed high-rise SOG revisions and training initiatives for operational excellence.
• Coordinated firefighting operations for Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak wildfire and South Fork/Salt fire in Ruidoso, NM, ensuring effective resource allocation and team collaboration.
• Graduated from National Honor Guard Academy, actively participating in formulation of Honor Guard SOG and U.S. Flag Etiquette Policy to enhance operational standards.

• Spearheaded first field ECMO patient transition in U.S. history.
• Designed and implemented REM medical unit to support wildland program operations.
• Contributed to the enhancement of training programs and policy frameworks to optimize bariatric rescue operations.

• Chosen as one of three paramedic drivers to oversee AFR's inaugural ALS engine deployment on Engine 2.
• Following implementation of Rescue 2, transferred to Engine 10 to continue the ALS Engine program growth

• Humanitarian Award recipient for Emcore incident response.
• Selected for UNM Paramedic Program at AFR Fire Academy to advance clinical knowledge and operational proficiency in emergency medical services.
