As a Lieutenant/ FTO, I was the front line field level administration representative to the field crews, helping with day to day needs, resolving minimal level conflicts between crews or crews and other departments, while trying to maintain a high level of crew morale.

During which I learned to become a more empathetic and servant leader, trying to promote positivity to crews and highlight strengths and look for learning opportunities to help address weaknesses in a more positive way.

• Successfully mentored new employees throughout the provisional training process to demonstrate competency and fluid working ability to perform job function to move them out of training into daily operations.
• Helped initiate the first recruitment and retention team and protocol in the Office of EMS in Lake County which yielded 4 new employees prior to my departure
• Promoted to Lieutenant/ FTO in February 2021.
• Helped launch the Segway team for rapid response during major special events in Lake County.
• EMT and Paramedic preceptor for Polk State College and Lake Tech.
• Guided interdepartmental medical training quarterly through scenarios, post call debriefings, and skills testing to improve teamwork, patient care, and team member morale.
