I come from a family of intellectuals in Paris, France where I was born in 1948. My maternal grandparents were principals of public schools near Paris. My grandfather, Gustave Bonnet, was active in the Fremch Resistance in WW2 in a leadership position. My mother was the first of 900,000 war brides and flew to the U.S. on the first passenger transatlantic flight and was featured on the front page of many newspapers across the US and given a special welcome and fanfare by Mayor LaGuardia of New York City. I spent alternating school years in Paris and New York. French is my native language; I learned English when I was six, and spent many summers at our family villa in Souther France. I later went back to Europe as a professional skier, and was headquartered in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. I reached moderate levels
of international competition in sanctioned Alpine ski racing in F.I.S. (Federation Internationale De Ski). I have trained with the Canadian Men's World Cup team, the U.S. Ski Team and the Dynastar Pro Team coached by world champion, Henri Duvilard. I remain active in skiing and ski racing and have attended race camps in Taos, New Mexico hosted by former French national champions whom I know.
It was after my skiing career that I delved in to the writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and was, through daily prayer led to a small church in San Diego and found Christ. (This story is recounted in my testimony, "Racing Toward God" and was made into a drama heard by 5 million people in 37 countries through The Unshackled Radio Program.) Within weeks, I found my self in a Bible college where I graduated with a four year degree, on the heels of which I graduated from two seminaries.
After that, we moved to Texas where my craftsmanship and creativity found very high levels of expression in the crafting of unique exotic wood pieces for celebrities with prices for my pieces being at times in the thousands. I am also skilled in the art of statuary.
I held a world record at the age of sixteen. I was awarded The Sword of the Lord Award For Evangelism in 1988.
I have been well known for my problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, exceling in fostering teamwork while delivering exceptional ideas and elevating brainstorming sessions to new levels, leading to new heights of accomplishments in professional settings. I have been called, "the most interesting man" on a cruise ship and am soon to be working on being a guest speaker on 12 day cruises with Royal Caribbean at their suggestion.
I have been a racecar driver, owning a Mazda MX-5 and being trained at the BMW School and by the Mario Andretti School as an Indy Car driver.
I was a jail chaplain at the Parker County Jail in Weatherford, Texas. That is where I wrote my my book, "God's Message to Women Behind Bars ... of Every Kind" which has elevated the self-image of many incarcerated women and been instrumental in setting their lives on a drug-free path of redemption and victory.
My spiritual path is build on a 100% Scriptural foundation. The Bible is is of inexpressible importance to me. I study it daily in it's original languages. I began studying the Hebrew Bible when I was nine years old. I teach my, "Forensic Bible Studies" every Thursday evening on the Facebook Page by that name. I have been doing this weekly for close to four years.
