Dylan Patterson

One of the main things that I have found as one of my strengths would have to be my ability to connect with people. In many regards, I've been one person who people can come to, confide in and guide in the right direction. I also am a very active Pastor's son in my church and in other churches within the city of Chicago. I have helped with creating and organizing youth conferences and church services for young people in the area.

My career goals are to work alongside major brands in helping make a difference in representation within the African American community, as well as to make sure every minority is well represented not only in their place of work but also in company advertisements. I've also participated in many extra-curricular activities such as gospel choir, and student council where I held the role of president as well as vice president. I believe I should be considered for a Morehouse scholarship so I can show young black men that it is truly possible to be the epitome of black excellence and walk in it every single day.
