I came to teaching later than most of my coworkers. As a fourth generation of teachers, I spent time in denial of my calling. Once I listened, I found where I was always meant to be. I love my students and am refreshed each and every day with what they bring to the classroom. I delight in seeing them succeed and in learning from each one of them.

Union activities
I began my union journey as a building rep.
I was one of the first people in our district to help in forming and who continues to serve on the APPR committee.
I was an APPR committee chair.
I was a Rep at Large.
I am the current union president.
I attend the Leadership training at NYSUT - leadership class of 2016
I have been attending the leadership conferences for ED 9/10 since 2013
I have taken part in the sticks and stones training. I attended the sticks and stones train the trainor. I have not yet facilitated as the one I was signed up for was canceled.
