Summary

I have worked within the prison system and I have a passion for working with inmates to assist in reducing their rate of recidivism as well as developing programs to assist with their ability to obtain employment, integrate back into society as well as to acclimate to their home life by having classes in communication and adjusting to their new environment.

I implemented religious programming as well as bible study classes, religious services on weekends and working closely with the ecumenical community to enlist volunteers to assist with spiritual needs of the inmates.

I also worked with several entities to arrange for AA and NA meetings for inmates dealing with addictions.

In order to attain the 100% approval rating from the PA Department of Corrections, I was assigned the task of developing and writing sections of our administrative policies. In addition I was assigned the task of reviewing all procedures and policies for the Wayne County Correctional Facility prior to the Department of Corrections inspection to ensure that they met the standards for complete compliance. Through the developing of programs I was able to fulfill the religious, educational, and substance abuse education criteria to comply with the requirements under Title 37 of the Department of Corrections, which helped with our 100% approval rating.
