Work History

Scientific Research (PHD Candidate)

National Center For Research & Tech. Development
Morelos , Mexico
2019.08 - Current

I have been working with a team belonging to the Automatic Control department, where I optimized several
engineering systems by means of Machine learning techniques, including Artificial neural networks.
Developed the design and development of fractional activation functions, which were applied in the
training of a multilayer ANN modelling the behavior of an Absorption heat transformer with energy
recycling system.
Developed the anti-synchronization of two Hopfield neural networks, the first one with chaotic
dynamics and the second one with regular dynamics.
Trained the ANN that simulate the behavior of a Parabolic through collector system, in order to predict
the input variable values that allows to improve the performance of the system.
Trained the ANN that predicts the behavior of a Vertical Helical Evaporator system by means of a
fractional Gradient Descent algorithm, in order to reduce a neuron in hidden layer.
Pertinent skills: Engineering processes analysis, statistic and probabilistic analysis, mathematic analysis,
data analysis.

Scientific Research (Master Degree)

Autonomous University Of The State Of Morelos
Morelos , Mexico
2017.01 - 2019.03

I optimized the mathematical model of PEM Fuel Cells, by employing a metaheuristic algorithm called Simulated Annealing, where some of the model parameters were optimized in order to reduce the voltage losses and improve the efficiency of the PEM Fuel Cells.

Pertinent skills: Mathematical model analysis, chemical and engineering processes understanding and critical analysis, analysis of data and troubleshooting. Algorithms development by using C programming language, and data plotting by employing Matlab.

Computer Systems Engineer

Segurmatica
La Habana , Cuba
2012.09 - 2017.01

I worked in a team environment to develop an antivirus software product, where i developed quality tests to the antivirus software product.

Pertinent skills: C++, Java, Visual Basic script, Batch languages.

Teacher's Assistant

Computer Sciences University (UCI)
Havana
2010.09 - 2012.07

I taught Math and programming languages, such as C++ and Java, to lower-level students, where I supported
student learning objectives through personalized assistance.
Pertinent skills: communication, adaptability, empathy, patience, listening, collaboration, small group
discussions, class management, organizing small group work and individual work.
