I work incredibly hard, am highly organized, detailed and creative in my approach to creating content for my students. Instructor of Read 290, Critical Reading, Thinking and Literacy, a general education course that prepares students in the development of critical thinking skills, including but not limited to:
• Critically reading and evaluating arguments to identify issues, conclusions, reasons, evidence, fallacies, bias and assumptions
• Comparing and contrasting the merits of opposing arguments, interpretations, assumptions and cultural values
• Reflecting in an open-minded manner on one’s own thinking in relation to the ideas of others
• Distinguishing fact from opinion
• Reaching well-supported factual conclusions and advocate for these conclusions
• Evaluating the sufficiency of evidence in a reading piece
• Writing high quality argumentative essays grounded in evidence and research
• Understanding the history of critical thinking theories and logic
