Objective

Compassionate and driven healthcare worker with hands-on experience in a memory care unit, serving in a dietary role that supports the residents well-being. Passionate about patient care and communication, with a strong desire to transition into ADN to make a deeper impact in patients' lives. Seeking admission to a nursing program where I can build on my healthcare experience and develop clinical skills to become a skilled, empathetic Nurse.

My long term goal is to become a CRNA due to Richard F Wallin, a resident at Kingston, who discovered the properties of Sevoflurane, we have built an amazing friendship and I wish to honor him by becoming a CRNA, My goal is to become a Nurse to continue the care and comfort of all my future patients.

PERSONAL SUMMARY

Due to my birth defects, I have undergone multiple operations throughout my life. As a result, I was exposed to many healthcare workers—especially nurses. Time and time again, nurses were the ones who made me feel safe before surgery, cared for me afterward, and supported me during scheduled appointments. They always made me feel at ease.

The male nurses impacted me the most. They who joked around with me and acted eccentric to make me feel at ease, yet remained professional. Their ability to make me laugh while still providing excellent care inspired me. I want to be that kind of nurse—someone who puts patients at ease during a difficult time; that’s what I believe nurses do best. Due to working at Kingston Residence, I also have a passion for working with the elderly, and would like to expand my knowledge in other areas.
