Receive written prescription or refill request and verify that information is complete and accurate.
Establish or maintain patient profiles, including lists of medication take by individual patients.
Maintain proper storage and security conditions of drugs.
Answer telephones, responding to questions, or request.
Fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and affix labels.
Mix pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions.
Clean, sterilize, and organize equipment and pharmacy.
Bill insurances, and file prescriptions that have been filled.
Assist customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.
Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quality against invoices, check for outdated medications in current inventory, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
Order labels, vials, all pharmacy supplies, and count stock of medication, or supplies and enter inventory data into computer.
Operate cash register to accept payment from customers.
Prepare and process medial insurance claim forms and records.
Prepare and process medical insurance claim forms and records.
Price stock and mark items for price changes.
Float to other locations occasionally when short staffed.
