While employed with Camelot Farms Equestrian Center there are several time sensitive responsibilities. Everything is under a strict time constraint to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. This includes feeding every horse (medicine’s included), keeping a daily log with medications requirements and quantities. Feed was reset after each feed bucket was thoroughly cleaned. Every horse on the farm has their own specific care plan program. On their care plan program any medications with doses are listed, dates for all medical and veterinary needs. The care plans for each horse are signed off and maintained on a daily basis. This is a communication system for all the employees to remain up to date on any medical or feed updates or changes. Some horses require daily physical therapy, daily medications, speciality visits from the chiropractor, equine dentist, farrier, and other forms of therapy. We keep and maintain an excel spreadsheet for the utilization of every horse, their tack, to include fly sheets, blankets, bridal, saddle and saddle pads, fly boots, wraps, lead ropes and halters. All of their equipment is sanitized and labeled. At the equestrian center we have private boarders and farm horses that are utilized for trail rides, birthday parties, lessons and leases. Lunch is another responsibility that is signed off daily. Horses that receive lunch have special dietary and medication needs. Attention to detail and time management are a necessity. Often you are handling several responsibilities at once, Receiving and settling in new borders,or new customers checking in to camp for the weekend. Answering phone calls to book lessons, birthday parties, trail rides, and other programs is a daily requirement.. I can be tasked with a diverse list of chores, fixes, or repairs to include small bits of carpentry for fences and stalls,, plumping when a water line breaks or gets clogged, fabricating and painting jumps and rails utilized for shows and lessons, and even small bits of locksmithing. However, none of this is in incredible detail as this is just to hold over until the maintenance men are able to handle the situation as needed.

First Class Customer Service was achieved daily. Every patron that entered the Fitness Center was greeted professionally and in a timely manner. The Fitness Center was responsible for holding several unit and battalion competitions. Many of the training provided were mandated from Headquarters Marine Corps, which required tracking and mandatory monthly reporting .While employed with Marine Corps Community Services. Professionalism, having a proactive mindset, and punctuation were well adapted and adhered to during my tenure. The Marine Corps fitness center was a well operated facility, where communication and cleanliness went hand in hand.
I greeted every patron with respect and due diligence. I educated myself about all base operations and programs in order to provide the most accurate information. The fitness Center had several events and competitions monthly that I registered patrons for. I was responsible for a database that was an annual requirement for not only the Marine Corps Air Station, but also for Parris Island and all the Marine Corps Units.
At MCCS it was a combination of two jobs. One was a janitor for a two-story facility where we had a list of everything we had to do at a certain time. The job consisted of mopping, sweeping, dusting, and wiping on top of being a receptionist for customers who came in and out of the facility. We were tasked to give the best customer service we could and to constantly be up to date with all things going on within MCCS. We also had supplies on the ready, usually at the desk for all marines, and civilians that needed said supplies.
