  • Duties: Basic Maintenance, Cleaning bathrooms, historical buildings, maintenance shop, break rooms and sheds. Landscaping including weed wacking, trash pickup, pile burning, leaf blowing, raking, gardening, shoveling debris, cleaning up downed limbs and trees. Loading and unloading wood rounds and split wood. Mowing lawns. Filling pot holes with D/G. Driving and dumping using a 1 ton with a lift truck, cleaning ashes out of BBQs, Cleaning out bear cans. Assisting park visitors as needed. Maintaining and cleaning of tools and ATVs.

  • Duties Summary -Ashouts
  • Ashing out homes (or Ash-Outs as Samaritan's Purse calls them) in the Camp Fire burn scar area. Property owners in Paradise and surrounding areas gave permission and specific locations of where possible survivable items may be located. We shoveled, raked, hand raked standing and/or on our knees and sifted through debris, ash, rubble etc to find what home owners were hoping were there. I do not have a specific supervisor for you to contact as I had several that switched off and on for the 2 weeks that I volunteered. I did list Amy Peterson and her cell as a contact who has met myself several times. I can provide a Samaritan's purse volunteer card. Samaritan's purse had 2,059 volunteers that came to Paradise over a 4 month period. People stayed anywhere from 1 day to 4 months

  • Tactical Trauma Response Training Training and equipping for mass shootings, bomb blasts, and mass casualty events. Learn how to sustain life with primitive resources and gain confidence in knowing how to respond to these types of events.
