Emily Diep

• Member of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and and Astronautics) - Member of the world’s largest aerospace organization that hosts a variety of extracurricular aerospace opportunities throughout the year for other members and the aerospace engineering department in general.
• NHS(National Honor Society) President -The President is chosen by the National Honor Society leaders through a rigorous interview process. The NHS president’s job is to organize officer meetings as well as speak at major events including the induction. I also participated in community service events such as the SPCA rummage sale and volunteering at the Mulherin Home.
• Member of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) - I volunteered to tutor students in math classes ranging from Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I. I volunteered before and after school hours in my math teacher’s classroom. I tended to tutor underclassmen.
• Member of AURA(Auburn University Rocketry Association) - Member of a student-led organization that is focused on the design, development, and launch of rockets. This group participates in three major rocketry competitions each year, including the USLI competition sponsored by NASA, the Argonia Cup competition in Kansas, and the Spaceport America competition in New Mexico. I am mainly involved with the recovery team which ensures the rocket's safety to the ground after launch.
