  • I am currently volunteering at the Pasadena Animal Shelter. I volunteer during my fall and winter breaks. I assist by taking the dogs on walks, giving them baths, and playing with them in the park. I also interact with the cats in the shelter by playing with them as well.

Extracurriculars

  • Basketball manager (2018-2019)

Managed the basketball team by assisting with drills and set up for practices. During games I would keep track of the scorebook and ensure that the team was prepared with full water bottles and correct game attire.

  • Freshman Advisory (2018-2019)

I went during flex time or also known as study hall, talking to freshmen about my formal enrichment. Which is a step you have to take to become a distinguished leader at Incarnate Word Academy. I spoke on how NYU gave me great opportunities and opened my eyes to the college life in a city. I showed how the freshman class should immerse themselves in extracurriculars that may benefit them in during their college years.

  • New York University Precollege Program (NYU) (2018)

I attended the New York University precollege program to get an insight to college life and wanted to receive credit in a major I was interested in, fashion journalism. I spent six weeks attending classes, meeting people, and falling in love with all the opportunities New York had to offer.
