While I only worked with City Scooters Rental for a few months, I quickly learned the skills that were needed for the job. I knew how to locate resources needed for battery swapping at high demand periods, and was able to keep the display of scooters in good condition throughout the day. I promptly picked up the skills and expected procedure for handling those looking to rent scooters, as well as answering any questions they may have had about our company.

• While at my time at DeMatha, I completed over 40 hours of community service; specifically within the DMV area.
• During my time at DeMatha, I was part of their Symphonic Band as a Trumpet player.

While I am currently attending college at Virginia State University, I hope to transfer to a different institution; namely, for my love of the sciences. Throughout my entire life I’ve always loved learning about the world that surrounds us. From the plants that grow beneath our feet, or the organisms that inhabit our very bodies, all forms of science are marvelous in more ways than just one. Here at VSU, I don’t believe that my fellow peers are nearly as serious about both their education and interest in field as I am. I wish to be surrounded by those who aspire, just as I, to be as great as any professional in their field of interest. Most importantly, I see great opportunities provided by the institution for students who hunger to satiate their itch to learn. In that sense, I believe that at UMD I would find the people that I seek, and just as equally, find the in-depth studies I wish pursue.
