- Work with customers on new system requests to determine feasibility, price-point, and expectations
- Work with vendors on new system offerings to draft initial BOM's, understand req'd installation specs, and draft vehicle-specific Work Instructions for technicians to follow during installation, and for field technicians to use during after-sales troubleshooting
- Draft RFPC and QC reports to communicate with VanHool engineers for requested changes
- Use Lean principles to identify areas of installation where time/cost can be reduced & create/update SOP's, BOM's, mounting templates, etc.
- Source and vet substitute components due to manufacturing delays, vendor cost increases, and/or shipping delays of parent components to keep production and delivery of vehicles on track
- Travel to customer locations to design/troubleshoot fielded systems to support aftersales
- Complete 'Coach Data Sheets' for bidding coaches into transit fields
