While setting my pharmacy career on hold I have worked in multiple areas of the grocery store as a clerk for full time and part time positions. The departments that I have worked in are as follows; the produce department, grocery, floral, cashier, and meat department. I feel this has broadened my knowledge and understanding of a whole business approach to running an efficient and successful company that keeps customer satisfaction the number one priority.

• Adhered to all safety regulations while operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Assisted with training new employees on proper operation of cash registers, stocking procedures and customer service protocols.
• Performed opening and closing duties such as setting up displays, counting money in register drawers and restocking items.
• Operated cash registers to process payments from customers, handled returns and exchanges of merchandise.
• Stocked shelves, rotated merchandise and ensured product freshness.

• Received and verified daily incoming drug inventories, reported discrepancies and logged items.

• Assisted pharmacist with clearing high volume of prescriptions and responded to customer questions.
• Assisted in filling over 400 prescriptions per day.
• Supervised inventory levels to maintain adequate supply of medications.
• Compiled customer demographic, allergy and medical information.
• Trained new technicians to provide excellent customer service which resulted in higher customer satisfaction scores.
