I have completed all three sports medicine courses as well as taken other classes involving anatomy and kinesiology including Honors level anatomy, Health science one, and forensics. I have also been a part of the Spanish honors society, as was recognized as an official member last spring. I have also been a part of multiple varsity sports including lacrosse, and volleyball.
I have been a part of the Turtle Team on Sullivan's Island and Isle of palms for 10 years. I have assisted in more than twenty baby turtle hatches and inventories as well as rehabilitated turtle releases from the South Carolina aquarium. I have also hosted the annual beach sweep on Daniel Island. This role involved gathering supplies for the beach sweep, advertising it to our local neighborhood as well as participating it cleaning up the beach itself.
In my many courses regarding anatomy and kinesiology I had to memorize parts of the body, movements, medical prefixes, suffixes, as well as Latin terminology used in the medical field. In Spanish Honors Society I had to research latin and hispanic culture, do projects on specific Spanish speaking countries, and have twenty plus service hours that helped the hispanic/latin culture or businesses.
