• Supported animal health by keeping areas clean, neat and properly sanitized.

• Worked the front desk on a daily basis to field calls to ACOs, aid residents, place registrations in PetPoint, aided meet & greets with potential adopters.
• Diligently worked with dogs on basic skills such as sit, leash training, down, easy treat mouth, socialization (when possible) every day.
• When able I would either take a pregnant dog home to give birth or assist her in the process at the shelter.

PetPointDeRita

• Set up facility areas with supplies, tables and chairs for planned activities and for our special events/rentals.
• Connected personally with residents and special events rentals to improve participation, enjoyment and special events.
• In charge of gaming activities such as Duplicate Bridge, Party Bridge, Texas Hold'em and would call our Bingo Games when needed.
• Worked front desk to field inquiries, registration for programs, memberships, answer queries, give tours.
• Prepared class format and content appropriate for type of class and level of participants on a weekly basis.
• Integrated social aspects into activities by encouraging partnerships and team-based participation in gaming and art projects.
• Supported Coppell residents by engaging each in fun, beneficial activities.
• Planned implemented, and taught programs to help participants enjoy creating art, meeting new friends and learning new joys.
• Created a T.R.A.P.S. (Texas Recreation and Parks Society) award winning program for our members, Knits Wits Fiber Arts Group, which is still growing and thriving. Bringing seniors with fiber arts skills together making hand made/hand sewn items to be donated to Parkland Hospital for Infants in Need and our local animal shelter needing animal beds.
