  • Fulfillment - Would work with a team of 10-20 people at a time doing picking and packing of orders. Some consisted of picking and packing on assembly lines with Pick to Lite programs and some were picking and packing on WOS picking / packings systems on an Ipad. I did this for a little over a year before moving into the Replenishment department.-
  • Replenishment - After working on the Fulfillment team for a little over a year the Replenishment Manager recruited me into their department. From there I was able to learn different case picking processes for larger freight shipments and the replenishment task that kept the fulfillment team running smoothly without interruptions. Within these jobs I was able to learn a lot of inventory functions and how to maintain an even flow of product. I also was on this team for a little over a year before being recruited into the Shipping department.-
  • Shipping - In the shipping department I started off as a trailer loader, stacking and scanning packages into the correct trailers to ensure the quickest deliveries without any delays. From there I kept working hard to move up within the Shipping team. I was able to learn how to prepare shipments that were going Freight and learn the different customer requirements. We typically had 30 Clients with each client having about 20-30 customers within each one that all had different rules and regulations to follow. Once I felt that I had a good understanding on the belts and freight side of the department I began to learn what we called the “small pack” side of shipping. Which we would follow all the same customer requirements and regulations to ensure we wouldn’t receive any charge-backs or fines while shipping, but instead of preparing the orders to ship freight on pallets we would ship them with ground carriers such as Ups Ground, Fedex Ground, Ontrac, Landmark, USPS, Ups Express, Fedex Express, Ups International, and Fedex International. Most of these shipments the customer would provide us their own account numbers to ship them on, so we would be responsible for entering in the account numbers, weight of packages, total amount of packages, and the ship to addresses. Paying attention to detail was a huge part of this position to ensure success and a timely delivery.-
  • Shipping Lead - (March 5, 2021 - Current) As I got promoted to the Lead position I became responsible for leading a team of 10 - 20 people at a time. While in charge of the team I was responsible for delegating the Small Pack and Freight shipments between team members and staffing our belt system for the packages that came down as Pre-determined or already selected with ship methods. I would also help fill in and learn the Supervisor responsibilities to help with the team and work load. I began to learn how to make google sheets with our orders that need to be worked on throughout the day to ensure we stayed within our shipping SLA ( Service Level Agreements) which were typically 8 day windows. I also was in charge of leading our daily meetings and stretches for the team to make sure they are all ready to work for the day and doing daily safety talks to remind everyone how important safety is in the workplace. I would also do most of our training throughout the department to make sure everyone is following the same processes and I would get them to sign training sign off sheets to ensure they understood the processes fully.
