Accomplishments

I grew up in the family demolition business and understand that industry in the sale of salvage. I’ve operated equipment since I was eight years old and have a red seal certificate to operate unlimited sized mobile cranes anywhere in Canada. I’ve worked as a business representative for 24+ years And I have over 40 years of experience working in a variety of construction industries. I have worked in the demolition, heavy industrial Crane rental, Paul, driving steel direction and heavy construction industries Road building industries and in the gravel pit annd quarring industries in the past.

I have extension negotiation experience along with conflict resolution skills. I was a union treasurer for 15 years and I was a pension plan trustee for over 10 years. I have extensive investment training along with managing many of the union staff, both unionized and the union.

Affiliations

I was on the IUOE Canadian conference executive board. I have been on many government committees related to training and I sought as a director on the IUOE Local 115 - Training within the labour movement. I’ve been affiliated with the building trades and all of the other unions and I know many of the other union representatives.

Certification

I hold a nationally recognized red seal for the operation of mobile cranes and can operate that equipment anywhere in Canada. Additionally, I have the experience to operate pretty much all heavy equipment. I have worked as a four person and a supervisor in the demolition and construction industries prior to becoming a union business representative. I have been a table officer of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115 since 2009 when I became the treasurer for the union and I helped take our assets from under 50 million to over 100 million within my tenure at the local union.

Track Day motorcycle racing

I enjoy anything that has an engine and I like to go to the track and erase my husky 450 super Moto as well. I have had cars, boats and equipment to operate personally.
