Work History

Store Manager

Aldi
01.2011 - Current
  • As a store manager I am responsible for hiring and training my staff as well as giving annual reviews and writing weekly schedules. I have monthly and weekly meeting with my district manager to review KPI's (key performance indicators). I do daily checks of inventory through out the store to ensure that the stock on hand is correct in order for our ordering system to be able to order correctly. Also I help in stocking the shelves each morning from our daily trucks using electric pallet jacks. I follow up on a weekly basis with our add preparation. I ensure that we have received in all the product for our add and that our produce picks of the week are available for our customers. I interact with as many customers as I can to ensure that they are finding what they need and take care of any customer concerns that come up.

Warehouse Supervisor

Aldi
01.2010 - 01.2011
  • As a Warehouse supervisor I was responsible overseeing both the receiving and shipping of all the product in the cooler and freezer department. I had about 100 selectors to manager. This included annual reviews, weekly and monthly reviews of items picked per line, and pallet building quality. On a daily basis I reviewed product that came in that was new and needed to be slotted for selection and future day receiving with the receiving Forman. As far as the selectors I had daily meetings reviewing the overview of the day, picking time, and new items for selection. I also had monthly meeting with my director on KPI's as well. I interacted with the purchasing director on new products and special buy products to ensure they where sent to the stores at the correct time.

Store Manager

Aldi
01.2007 - 01.2010
  • All the same responsibilities listed prior but also writing a budget by hand and manually doing ledger pages.

Assistant Manager

Aldi
01.2006 - 01.2007
  • As an assistant store manager I was responsible for mainly opening and closing the store. In the morning I would assign each associate to their area to stock while I myself would stock the produce department. I ensured that by the time the store was opened the sales floor was ready and all out of stocks where filled. Any new or special products would need to be slotted after the load was done. If there where any discrepancies from the truck then I would file a claim with the warehouse. When closing I ensured that all cleaning was done, all aisles were faced and neat, and all back stock product was reworked. I also wrote orders for all departments.

Store Manager

Wendy’s
01.1996 - 01.2006
  • At Wendy’s I started off as a regular employee and worked my way all the way up to a training store manager. As a training store manager I trained new mangers that came into the company on all the positions that they would have to oversee and give feedback on. I did manage my crew as well, giving reviews, feedback, and scheduling. As a store manager I was responsible for the stores P&L as well as ordering.

Truck Loader

UPS
01.2001 - 01.2002
  • At UPS I was a truck loader. I had three trucks that I was in charge of loading simultaneously in a manner that the driver was able to run his or her route the most efficient way. All addresses had to be grouped the way the driver wanted and it had to be done in time for them to start their route.
