During my time at this hospital, I got the opportunity to work up in the front and in the back. I developed skills such as proper animal handling, drawing up vaccinations & administering them, draw blood for bloodwork, trim nails, run bloodwork/fecal/cytology, understand why we prescribe specific medication, check in patients, and observe surgeries.

Though my time here was short, I was able to maintain and enhance skills such as properly cleaning kennels, properly feeding canines and feline, medicating animals as needed, properly handing animals, walking dogs, providing enrichment, and providing potential new owners with valuable information.

Over my time at this job I developed several valuable skills such as customer service, leadership, and team communication. I was one of the highest ranked servers at this store and was up for a position in management. I developed many professional and non professional relationships over my time here and I am still connected with several people.

During my time at this veterinary hospital I got to gain skills on the front side of the hospital. Skills would include understanding cornerstone, scheduling patients, maintain veterinary records, handle several phone calls, maintain cleanliness of the lobby and all exam rooms, check in patients, and assist the veterinarian whenever needed.

I had the ability to have this experience during my time in high school. During this internship I was allowed to observe appointments and surgeries. I also got some hands on experience and was allowed to draw up vaccinations, count medication, and run lab work. Though this was a short time, I learned many valuable skills.
