Gabriella Pena

I was originally born in Clearwater, FL and grew up there. I have moved back and forth between Chandler, AZ and Tampa, FL 3 times. My family decided to stay in AZ in 2018 and I was lucky to start my freshman year of high school here. Moving around a lot allowed me to become a very social person and I am able to adapt very quickly to new schools and cities. Some of my hobbies are painting, working out, and playing soccer. I played competitive soccer for about 13 years and was set to play at Chandler Gilbert CC but due to a knee injury, I decided to quit. Soccer has always been a really big part of my life since it taught me so much about myself, others, and life lessons. Now that my schedule was opened up, I decided to really focus on setting myself up for my future career. I am studying to become a Pediatric Dentist. I am a very family-oriented person and I cherish any time I can spend with my loved ones. My friends and family describe me as a selfless individual. I have always had a passion for helping others and I want to educate children and parents on the importance of oral health. Childhood is full of many different emotions and I know many kids have anxiety when visiting the dentist. My goal is to give kids and parents a positive dental experience and help them maintain their beautiful smiles. As of right now, I am currently shadowing at an office and seeking a part-time job as a Dental Assistant.
