  • In October of 2023 I was promoted to a NTFT clerk position in the Drummond office
  • I am exclusively in charge of this office and fully responsible for all the day to day operation; I am entirely responsible for all of the clerk duties listed in the PTF position below plus the day-to-day operation of the office to include:
  • Opening and closing 6 days a week
  • All monies accepted and the deposit of those monies using the postal accounting program that reports it to our district accounting office according to postal regulations
  • I also have a budgeted amount of stamp stock that I am responsible to order and maintain and distribute to our smaller office in Hall
  • I am responsible to maintain the office supplies and appearance of the office for our customers
  • I am responsible for all daily reports that are required by out district office to be completed, with some that have a time stipulation for them
  • My substantial customer service experience allows me to handle all customer inquiries, concerns and complaints with knowledge and empathy

  • At sale time I record all weights and averages with the buyer, provide all vaccinations with dates given to the calves per federal intrastate travel laws, to ensure a smooth transition to the new owner, who in most cases are in other states

  • As a PTF clerk I have the knowledge and skill of postal computer programs used for:
  • Inventory of stamps and money orders
  • Inventory of post office boxes and their keys
  • Customer complaints and delivery issues filed on our official correspondence data base or by phone, to which need to be responded to within 24 hours

  • I am the retail stamp custodian for the office
  • This requires me to requisition stamps and money orders from the postmaster
  • I receive the inventory personally and record the appropriate amount in the retail stamp/money order data base and retain the physical copies with signatures of all inventory transfers, which are kept per postal service retention period
  • I also sort the mail and packages daily for two mail routes and the box section of over 700 boxes
  • I work closely with the postmaster, other clerks and route delivery employees to accomplish a seamless transition of the daily mail received in our office to delivery of it to the customers
  • Responsible for all forwarding of mail and packages for previous and new customers
  • Forwarding is done by a postal service computer program that tracks the customers’ new address and will print new labels for the item
  • I reorganized the old manual tracking system for forwards in our office to be more efficient and time saving
  • Communicate with other offices and plant by email to order equipment and supplies needed for our office
  • I travel to our other two local post offices as needed for employee coverage of vacation or sick days
  • I have OIC’d this office when postmaster was called to another office to work, I also covered in the post master’s absence for vacation/sick days
