As a project manager for RMJ I oversee 25 to 30 jobs at a time. They are all in various
stages of completion, from just starting to collecting final payment.
It is my responsibility to set up initial walks, collect payments and all documentation
throughout the job and then schedule sub-contractors to complete the work.
As an account manager I was responsible for getting clients orders in and calling them to
see if there was anything that they needed help with or if they needed help placing
orders.
As an assistant project manager/estimator I was responsible for: Pre bid procedures, loading drawings into takeoff software, Managing, and updating the
bid board, and Tracking each project that is to be bid and updating information as it comes in. Once Awarded a Project, I would review the drawings and have a kickoff meeting with the foremen in charge of the job, Visit the jobsite checking on status and flow of the job, Create submittal packages and safety data sheets for all material being used on the job, Attend jobsite meetings regarding scheduling/ manpower/ buyout/ close out in
order to generate any necessary change orders, and distribute project. information/review invoices/and help with material orders and track the shipments. Closeout, review contract to make sure all work was done and any extra work was documented and charged for, made sure any extra material called out in the specs is turned over and is the proper amount, and ensure all change orders have been tracked and paid.
