  • Serve as subject matter expert in obtaining difficult pre-certifications with various payers. This includes communicating with various insurance carriers and clinical areas regarding patient medical requirements to process radiology service request.
  • Lead pre-certification specialist for Columbia Physicians Midtown location. This includes tracking all initial, in-review and appeal status pre-certifications and provide necessary feedback to both referring physicians and departmental leadership.
  • Lead Trainer for New Hires including providing documentation on current and updated policy and procedures as necessary.
  • Indepth Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding and Diagnosis.
  • Manage and Coordinate all same day Add-On’s for urgent Radiology scans for Columbia Midtown Physicians while maintaining additional daily pre-cert responsibility.
