Key West is a completely different market due to lack of inventory & the tropical climate. Which is the reason why I returned back to The Villages, so that I can do what I love, SELLING HOUSES!

Was only at Realty Executives in The Villages for about 6 Months for I also owned 6 vacation rentals here in The Villages. Had 4 Patio villas (Colony model) within the Village of Alhambra, one patio villa (Vineyard model) within The Village of Belle Aire, & one patio (cottage model) which I moved into when I sold my first Key West home ( I had two Key West homes).
I was managing these through VRBO.com & AirBnB.com. Had about 125 bookings per house each year (about 3 years I did it).
During Covid, I had 59 cancellations for these were rented a 1.5- 2 Years in advance. That's when I decided to sell everything.
Also during these 3 years, I was help taking care of my Mother with Dementia. After she passed on June 30, 2021 (the day after my parents 58th wedding anniversary), is when I bought my second house in Key West.

Moved to Key West after leaving Tampa (difficult relationship breakup) to start a fresh new adventure. But, I still owned 19 affordable housing rentals in Ocala, Fl (Marion Oaks, located West of I-75 from the Belleview exit). Between my rentals being unsupervised, & my Father needing help with My Mom, I decided to back to the area (The Villages). This is when I sold all my affordable housing to start a fresh project called vacation homes.
This office is a little different from the average real estate office. My Broker/Owner is primarily a hard money Lender. He taught me everything there is to know about the county's Tax Deed Sales . Majority of my 78 rental properties (mostly located in the Ocala & Tampa area) were acquired at the tax deed sale or via 1031 Exchange.

Interesting story. Attended evening classes at Central Florida State College (Ocala) while I was still working for the Marion County Sheriff's Office. I would come to the evening real estate classes directly from work while still in my Correctional Officer uniform. My first four years as a Realtor were overlapped with working as a Correctional Officer at the Marion County jail, which I retired from in 2004 after 16 years of service.
Funny story. I obtained my Real Estate license at Central Florida State College (Ocala) while I was still working at the Marion County Sheriff's Office. I would attend the evening real estate classes directly from work, while still wearing my Correctional Officer uniform. My first four years as a Realtor overlapped with my career working at the jail. In June 2004, I finally retired after 16 years of service to be a full time Realtor.
