Seamstress
You will be responsible for creating quality cushions, pillows, covers, curtains, as well as some upholstery work; embroidery and monogramming. This involves measuring, cutting, and sewing to ensure the final fabrication or upholstery of the piece. You will be working on a home sized sewing machine/embroidery machine.
What you will do: • Sewing machine setup (changing thread, bobbins, and needles as needed.) • Single needle prepping and joining • Creating and cutting patterns • Measuring, cutting • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment • Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Uniform Manager
The uniform manager purchases, maintains, distributes, and handles all of uniforms for Keeneland Hospitality. This person is an important part of the team that manages the public image of the Keeneland while keeping uniforms appropriate to the setting and in good condition, so they are neat and attractive.
What you will do: • When new uniforms are necessary, the uniform manager orders them. This includes discussions about the best garments for working in specific elements where breathability and performance are important concerns. • Inventory before each race meet. • Keeping an eye on par levels during and following each race Meet. • Prior to each Race Meet the uniform manager reviews sizes for all full-time chefs and orders and embroiders 2 new coats per chef/cook • Whenever deemed necessary, sizing; ordering; distributing uniforms for Special Events culinary team. • Whenever a new full time culinary team member is hired, sizing, ordering, embroidering and monogramming 3 new chef coats for said employee. • The uniform manager inspects new uniforms on arrival and distributes them to employees or puts them in storage for future distribution. • This person also handles laundering, repair, and other maintenance tasks, which may be special in nature with uniforms that have fragile components.• Uniform manager should perform spot inspections to make sure uniforms are being worn properly and appropriately.
