Activity Coordinator

• Provides work direction and/or works with other Operation Technician roles to ensure the execution of work direction as defined by the plant needs.
• Coordinates and works with other Operating Technician roles to ensure all resources are considered and utilized to execute assigned tasks in the Task List.
• Coordinates, plans, directs, delegates, and/or executes any other value added tasks required to:
• Sustain plant performance/plant productivity
• Enhance the skills and knowledge of department personnel
• Troubleshoot maintain and repair chemical process equipment, steam-lines, pumps, valves and actuators
• Works closely with Site Logistics, Manufacturing Services, and Chlorpyridines personnel to coordinate transfers, utility interruptions, and other activities as well as loading and unloading of material transport containers.
• Provides a resource to all Specialty Chemicals Operating Personnel for training, mentoring, troubleshooting, and assistance with tasks as needed
• Assists Operations during plant upsets activities such as performing minor maintenance, responding to plant issues, mitigating small leaks/spills w/o entry, etc. ensuring appropriate action and follow up is taken
• Helps Identify maintenance needs and directs and/or participates in equipment preparation tasks for maintenance. This includes:
• Ensuring equipment is adequately prepped and ready for daily scheduled maintenance
• Primary contact for daily maintenance activities as scopes change or follow-up is necessary
• Update (as necessary) submitted work orders; coach & train others on good WO discipline
• Safe Work Permits (Writing and reviewing)
• Job Walks
• Create & Review Isolation Procedures
• Facility Representative (IOE)
• Job Representative (IOE)
• Coordinates, plans, directs and/or executes “Return to Operations” activities
• Develop, optimize, improve, and review procedures
• Lead by example on EHS&S, setting the standard for operators, providing consistent positive and constructive feedback to help build knowledge and skills though coaching and mentoring of operations personnel
• Facilitation of skill instruction/validation and mentoring for operators.
• Align goals and priorities with strategies and objectives of the organization
• Deliver high quality results and influence others to do the same
• Provide prompt, efficient and personalized assistance internally and externally.
• Work with plant personnel to solve problems, investigate causes, and implement lasting value-added solutions

GMISS Inspector and Coordinator

• Ensure zero overdue GMISS inspections through appropriate scheduling. This can include managing Deficiency Forms, SCR’s, external equipment inspections, and performing inspections as necessary.
• Compliance Coordinator/Omissions Report Auditor which includes completing specific compliance checks as well as making sure the department completes all compliance checks properly. Assists Operations in completing daily EH&S compliance checks

Start Up / Shut Down Coordinator

Provides direct leadership support during plant turnarounds.

• Ensures unplanned start-ups and shutdowns are executed in a safe and effective manner using the appropriate operating discipline
• Coordinates, plans, directs, delegates, and/or participates in the execution of scheduled start-up and shut down activities.

Maintenance Gatekeeper for Operations

• Designed employee training curricula to instill necessary process skills, verifying competency via subsequent test procedures.
• Evaluates work order and decides proper routing (PMO,internal, delete)
• Ensures work order is value added (priority, job type, need date, scope)
• Meets with Maintenance to review backlog and sets priority with MAC
• Communicates through OPD tasks that jobs are tagged and ready for maintenance to be done

• Performed troubleshooting on HVAC systems to determine root cause of issues.
• Conducted maintenance service on HVAC systems to increase life expectancy of equipment.
• Repaired and replaced motors, bearings, pumps, and compressors.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintained boilers, hot water systems, and gas heating equipment.
• Programmed computerized energy management systems and verified proper functionality.
• Inspected and tested refrigeration systems, safety devices and controls to determine proper functionality.
• Calibrated equipment to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Evaluated and tested laboratory fumehoods and bio-safety cabinets.
• Maintained and repaired industrial chillers weighing up to 100 tons.
